I called Merriam Hardware to schedule service for my riding lawn mower. The person I spoke to was rude and acted as though she had better things to do than answer my phone call. I am sure glad I called before doing business there. I will be taking my business elsewhere where it is appreciated!
They tried to charge me twice the agreed-upon price for my lawn mower repair, without advising me ahead of time that they were doing extra stuff. when I tried to meet them in the middle on price I was hung up on - twice - and in a roundabout way was told that it was my fault that they didn't write down my request to be advised of any cost increases ahead of time. Completely illogical, and the lady was a complete itch-bay. Never going back, and I encourage you to do the same.
Repairs always done when promised or before, at a fair price. Never a problem.
